LODI–

He slowly made his way through downtown Lodi, throwing rocks and breaking windows like he was on a mission, but the vandal’s play time put one non-profit at risk.

Thanks to surveillance cameras, police arrested 44-year-old Frank Courtnier not far from Adopt-A-Child – one of the 14 vandalized buildings.

“The immediate thought that went through my mind was how many bicycles will we not have money to buy for,” said Jerry Glenn with Adopt-A-Child.

Adopt-A-Child is a non-profit that gives Christmas gifts to Lodi children in need.

Just after 3 a.m. Tuesday, Lodi Police responded to a burglary alarm near East Pine and Stockton Streets.

Cops immediately contacted Glenn, who then showed his surveillance footage to them. Glenn was thankful that he recently decided to have the cameras fixed.

It is still unclear if Courtnier is tied to all the window vandalism that occurred in the area that morning.

Courtnier was arrested on charges of felony vandalism and for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
