Barry Chamberlain has been promoted to President of Sales at CBS Studios International and will lead CBS’ global content distribution business, reporting to CBS Global Distribution Group President and CEO Armando Nunez.
Chamberlain, who has been executive vice president of sales at CBS Studios’ international sales division since 2009, played a key role in the group’s blockbuster roll-out of sci-fi series Under The Dome. He has also been involved in many of CBS’ biggest international hits, including CSI, NCIS, Hawaii Five-0 and Dexter.
“I’ve had the good fortune to work with Barry for the past two decades, including the last 15 years at CBS,” said Nunez. “I’m incredibly proud of Barry’s accomplishments, excited to promote him to this expanded role and honored to have him as a partner as we continue to grow CBS’s international business.”
Chamberlain has been with CBS since 1999, previously holding sales positions at Universal Television, New World Entertainment and Samuel Goldwyn Company.
By its own estimates, CBS Studios International is the largest supplier of programming to the international television marketplace. Through its 13 regional offices, the group serves more than 200 international territories drawing from its massive library, which includes content from CBS Television Studios, CBS New and Showtime. CBS Studios International is a division of CBS Corporation.
