This time out, James Bobin (The Muppets, Muppets Most Wanted) will be sitting in the director’s chair. Tim Burton directed the first Alice in Wonderland, which transformed into a box-office sensation in spring 2010, grossing $1.02 billion globally.
Bobin is set to begin shooting Alice 2 in June or July. Alice 2 would reteam Depp and Cohen, who starred together in Burton’s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007).
