Universal and Red Granite’s Dumb and Dumber sequel is rounding out its cast by adding Laurie Holden, Steve Tom and Rachel Melvin.
Directed by Bobby Farrelly and Peter Farrelly, Dumb and Dumber To catches up with the dim-witted best friends Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) 20 years later as they hit the road to find Harry’s illegitimate daughter for a kidney transplant.
The Farrelly brothers will produce with Red Granite’s Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland along with Bradley Thomas and Charles Wessler.

The new additions to the cast will play the Pichlow family.
Walking Dead star Holden is not the female lead, but will play the key role of Adele Pichlow, the wife of a wealthy doctor who has hatched a nefarious plan involving the lives of her husband, Dr. Pichlow (Tom) and her step-daughter Penny (Melvin).
After New Line and Warner Bros. declined to move forward on the sequel, Universal and Red Granite picked up the rights to the project in June. Under the deal, Red Granite will produce, finance and distribute Dumb and Dumber To while Universal has acquired the film’s domestic distribution rights.
The 1994 original, made when Carrey was just a rising comedy star, cost $17 million to make and grossed more than $247 million.
