Netflix‘s untitled family drama has cast its daughter.
Mad Men alum Linda Cardellini has joined the cast of the untitled family thriller from the creators of Damages, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The 13-episode series — produced by Sony Pictures Television — hails from Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler (aka KZK). The series centers on a family of adult siblings whose secrets and scars come to light with the return of their black-sheep brother (The Dark Knight Rises’ Ben Mendelsohn).
Cardellini will play Meg, the youngest of four siblings in the close-knit family. The complex character with secrets is a skilled attorney who is described as a warm people-pleaser who uses her charm to navigate life, including with men, at work and with her family.
Friday Night Lights Emmy winner Kyle Chandler stars as John, the middle son.
For Cardellini, the role marks her follow-up to her Emmy-nominated supporting actress turn as Don Draper’s mistress Sylvia in Mad Men. Her TV credits also include ER and Judd Apatow‘s critical darling Freaks & Geeks. On the feature side, her credits include Return, for which she earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination, and the upcoming features Lost in Austin and Welcome to Me, co-starring opposite Kristen Wiig.
She’s repped by ICM Partners and Mosaic Media.
