ROSEVILLE-

A family-owned business in Roseville is thinking big for their second location: New York City.

The candy store Stieber’s Sweet Shoppe, located in The Fountains, is releasing more details about their new opening.

Lee Manne owns the new location, and is a cousin of the Roseville Stieber family. She says the New York store will carry the Stieber name and she is hoping for a May opening, possibly Memorial Day.

The NYC location will have a popcorn bar with different flavors and colors to mix-and-match, and possibly fresh fudge.

Manne says the new store will have more than 400 types of bulk candy for shoppers to pick from.

She says opening the second location has been years in the making. Once she found the location near NYU in Greenwich Village, she fought for the lease, going up against a few chain stores.

“(We) are so excited to be in the heart of Greenwich Village amongst locals, tourists, and NYU! … It’s the perfect spot for us and we can’t wait to grow and represent East Coast and West Coast as the new candy connoisseurs on the block!” Manne stated in an email to FOX40.

In case visiting Californians want to stop by, they are located on Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village.
