STOCKTON-

A person was removed from the water at the Stockton Waterfront area Friday afternoon. Investigators are now trying to figure out how they got into the water in the first place.

Just after 1 p.m., emergency crews were seen in the Waterfront area. They removed a person from the water, and attempted life-saving maneuvers as they were taken to a hospital by ambulance.

While FOX40 crews were there, police took multiple people into custody for questioning, including a man who initially told FOX40 he witnessed the person in the water.

Officers are calling the waterfront area where the person was found a “crime scene”.

FOX40’s Rowena Shaddox is in Stockton gathering more information, it will be posted here on FOX40.com as it becomes available.
