FOX40’s own Paul Robins added to his already impressive list of accomplishments by taking home first place in the 2014 Roseville Celebrity Chili Cook-Off Friday.

Robins, who anchors FOX40’s Morning Show along with Bethany Crouch, was one of several celebrities competing in the annual chili cooking competition. Placer News reported Robins was given the judges’ top honor of the night, indisputably the greatest achievement of the Emmy-winning journalist and published novelist’s career.

The judges also awarded Sunridge Realty’s Nick Brooks second place. William Jessup University President John Jackson took home third place.

Among the other competitors were Sierra College President Willy Duncan, Roseville Mayor Susan Rohan and Vice Mayor Carol Garcia, Roseville City Councilmembers Bonnie Gore and Pauline Roccucci and the principals of Oakmony, Granite Bay and Adelante High Schools.

Robins was unavailable to confirm whether or not the first place chili will be made available to FOX40 staff in the near future.
