NATOMAS-
Investigators with the Sacramento Police Department confirmed Sunday that a death investigation is underway for 3-month-old Anthonise Mial.
“We are waiting for the results from the coroner’s office before we proceed,” Officer Michele Gigante said.
Anthonise’s family told FOX40 Sunday that they too are confused as to how the infant died in their Natomas home Saturday.
“This is horrible. It really is,” the baby’s mother, Felicia Williams, told FOX40 News.
Williams says she was taking a nap with Anthonise when she realized that the baby wasn’t breathing.
“I am a good mom,” she said. “There was no foul play.”
Williams also told FOX40 Sunday that she is fully cooperating with investigators and does not believe its possible that she may have rolled over on Anthoniece while sleeping.
“We really don’t know how this happen,” Williams said.
Anothonise’s family plans to hold a car wash to help give her a proper burial.
