HERE’S ‘WHERE’: Phillip Phillips’ first two singles, “Home” and “Gone, Gone, Gone” are both still appearing on various Billboard charts and this week they are joined by the third release from The World from the Side of the Moon. The season 11 champ’s newest single, “Where We Came From,” debuts at No. 27 on the Triple A (Adult Album Alternative) chart and No. 28 on the Triple A Audience tally.
Phillips already has a great track record at Triple A radio. “Home” was No. 1 for six weeks, a run that began in November 2012. “Gone, Gone, Gone” was No. 1 on one Triple A chart in May and ruled for three weeks on another Triple A tally.
Despite the debut of this newest single. “Gone, Gone, Gone” is still moving up on other Billboard charts this week. On Mainstream Top 40, “Gone” advances 23-19. On Adult Contemporary Audience, the song rebounds 3-2, while holding at No. 2 on Adult Contemporary. That means “Gone” is still a potential No. 1 on both AC charts.
Phillips is touring the U.S. as the opening act for John Mayer, a road trip that will conclude at the Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 5.

STORMING UP THE CHARTS: A lot of people have new copies of Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away playing on their iPods this week, as evidenced by the major move the album makes on The Billboard 200. In its 68th week on this chart, Underwood’s fourth studio recording rockets 71-44. The former No. 1 title also rebounds on Top Country Albums, where it is up 15-11, almost returning to the top 10.
Blown Away features four hit singles, including the season four winner’s latest, “See You Again,” which also enjoys a nice chart bump this week, leaping 62-41 on Hot Digital Songs. On Country Digital Songs, the track jumps 16-11. On the Hot 100, “See You Again” breaks into the top 40, rising 41-34. On Country Streaming Songs, the track returns to the top 10 with a move of 11-9. But the news is even better on Country Airplay, where “See You Again” gains ground on pole position with a jump of 5-3, and on Country Detections, where the song is up 4-2.

THE REIGN CONTINUES: “Overcomer,” the title song from Mandisa’s forthcoming album (due out on Tuesday), continues to rule both the Christian Digital and Christian/Gospel Digital Songs chart. The single is No. 1 for the sixth consecutive week on both lists.
“Overcomer” is also doing well when it comes to airplay. The track is up 6-5 on Christian Songs and ascends 8-7 on Christian Adult Contemporary.
BITS AND PIECES: Colton Dixon’s “Never Gone” breaks into the top 30 of the Christian Songs chart with a move of 33-29… Kelly Clarkson may have cancelled her wedding plans in favor of eloping, but her marital-themed single hasn’t changed its plans of conquering the charts. The song debuts at No. 25 on the Bubbling Under the Hot 100 survey and re-enters Country Digital Songs at No. 43… Fantasia’s “Without Me,” which features Kelly Rowland and Missy Elliott, re-enters the Hot 100, to collect a second week on this chart. The single is in the anchor position at No. 100. On Mainstream R&B, “Without Me” advances 9-6 and on R&B Songs the single returns to the top 10 with a move of 11-10. On R&B Digital Songs, “Without Me” is up 20-18 and on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, the track travels 35-32. All this activity helps the parent album, Side Effects of You, rebound 10-8 on Top R&B Albums and 22-20 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
