on 2 select item(s) Shop items
Selling for a lower price than any similar guidebook, and deliberately limited to a short 256 pages, this EasyGuide is an exercise in creating easily-absorbed travel information. It emphasizes the authentic experiences in each destination:the most important attractions, the classic method of approaching a particular destination; the best choices for accommodations and meals; the best ways to maximize the enjoyment of your stay. Because it is "quick to read, light to carry", it is called an "EasyGuide", and reflects Arthur Frommer's lifetime of experience in presenting clear and concise travel advice.

Don't go to London without getting this book. And don't wait until you get there or even the plane ride over to read this book. Go through it thoroughly at home w/ a highlighter in hand.
I found the hotel guide especially helpful as it was one of the few publications that actually seems to know the meaning of affordable. Actually the guide has hotels in many price ranges and in lots of convenient locations.
As I mentioned with the Paris Easy Guide, you'll want a supplemental map as the one that comes with this guide is good for starters but is a little small to be completely practical.

The description of this item did not mention that it comes with a pull out map of London to carry. I had bought a separate map and found out I did not have to spend that money.
It is a very good map that comes with this guide.

It sounded like a good idea --- put the Guide on my tablet. It was a bad idea. You cannot easily navigate, skipping over intros, going directly to (say) restaurants, you have to page thru endless verbiage. This edition is not electronic friendly --- it is simply the paperback scanned. Not recommended.
