Marc Guggenheim, co-creator and producer of The CW’s Arrow, can add novelist to his résumé.

The former Boston lawyer–who has found success writing for television shows like The Practice and Arrow, feature films like Green Lantern, comic books and video games–has his first novel, Overwatch, coming out April 15.
The Hollywood Reporter has an exclusive first look at the book trailer he created for it.
Guggenheim draws from his past to create the brilliant attorney Alex Garnett, who quickly finds himself enveloped in dark secrets with dangerous players in his new job for the CIA. When a seemingly mundane divorce case yields evidence of a suspicious trail, Alex uncovers the powerful shadow agency Overwatch, which threatens to uproot the balance in Washington, D.C., and catapult the nation into global turmoil.
Derek Haas, who wrote The Right Hand, describes Overwatch as the marriage between authors John Grisham and Tom Clancy.
Guggenheim created a book trailer with a building score in which each letter of the Overwatch is punctuated with the ominous sound of a single gunshot. Check it out below.
