Seth Meyers is making a habit of breaking news on his new Late Night show.
During his Wednesday visit to Late Night With Seth Meyers, Nick Kroll announced that Comedy Central has renewed Kroll Show for a third season.
The sketch comedy series from creator, writer and star Kroll will return after its sophomore season has been averaging 1.1 million viewers on Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m.

“They are unbelievably cool about letting us do whatever we want,” Kroll told Meyers. “I want to announce that we have been picked up for a third season. I’m very grateful to Comedy Central for continuing to let me make a TV show.”
Executive produced by Kroll, John Levenstein (Arrested Development) and Mosaic’s Christie Smith, the series has featured an impressive roster of guest stars during its sophomore run, including Will Forte, Jon Heder, Pete Holmes, Jason Mantzoukas, John Mulaney, Adam Pally, Jordan Peele, Chelsea Peretti, Craig Robinson and Jenny Slate.
“Nick has gone so deep into his characters [that] we were worried about his mental health if we didn’t pickup a third season,” said Kent Alterman, Comedy Central president of original programming.

Kroll’s renewal announcement comes less than two weeks after Kroll’s girlfriend, Parks and Recreation star and Broad City exec producer Amy Poehler, announced that Comedy Central had renewed the latter for a second season when she debuted as Meyers’ first guest.
Kroll Show joins an original programming roster at Comedy Central that also includes Inside Amy Schumer, Workaholics, Key and Peele and South Park, among others.
