PLACERVILLE—
Authorities are investigating an early-morning fire that has sent two people to the hospital.
The fire started around 5 a.m. Tuesday at an apartment complex along Woodridge Court, off of Cold Springs Road, a Cal Fire official tells FOX40.
By the time fire crews arrived, two upstairs units were already fully engulfed in flames. All residents were out, but two people had to be taken to the hospital for burn injuries, officials say.
A total of six units were damaged – two by the fire and four others by water.
The six families displaced by the fire are being helped by the Red Cross. What exactly caused the fire is still under investigation.Both the El Dorado County Fire District and the Placerville Police Department are looking into what caused the fire.
