Naomi Rye has separated parents, and again spending the summer in the Hampton's with her famous cupcake making mother. Her best friend is a lesbian names Skags.
She is helicoptered over with Delilah & Jeffrey. She plans on studying for the SAT this summer. Naomi slowly starts making friends and meeting the elusive neighbor Jacinta .
Naomi is still looking in with her friendships, but this summer she feels more apart of them too. She also ends up dating Jeffrey , and best friends with Jacinta . Secrets are revealed and friendships are tested. More family issues come up too.
This is a remake of the Great Gatsby with some Gossip girl mixed in. I couldn't relate to any of her issues or even that of her mom. Overall this book was okay. Yes I have read the original , but its been some time.
