SportsNet LA announced their new lineup of programming for Los Angeles Dodger fans on Friday, featuring a documentary series, live studio show, game coverage and player interviews.
Launching on Feb. 25, the 24-hour TV network will offer exclusive footage on the team, with new content and thousands of hours of Dodger-dedicated programming, along with airing 160 live games.
“All the programming on SportsNet LA will be original and produced in-house,” Amy Millstone, communications manager at Time Warner Cable Sports told The Hollywood Reporter. And it won’t end in October, as “SportsNet LA will continue to produce original shows during the offseason as well,” she added.
Avid fans will get an inside look into Yasiel Puig‘s locker or check out Matt Kemp at practice in the behind-the-scenes show Backstage: Dodgers. They’ll also be able to sound off with the Dodger nation through Lead-Off L.A., a social media-driven show, or get the lowdown on the front office with Dodgers Clubhouse, featuring interviews with Don Mattingly.

Access SportsNet: Dodgers is the flagship live daily show running from spring training to the season’s finale, hosted by John Hartung and featuring commentary from analysts Orel Hershiser, Nomar Garciaparra, Jerry Hairston Jr., and in-game reporter Alanna Rizzo.
Those who miss a game will get the chance to watch them reaired, or fans in a time crunch can get the one-hour condensed version in Dodgers Squeeze Play.
The SportsNet LA format follows in the footsteps of the Los Angeles Lakers channel, Time Warner Cable SportsNet, which was launched with a 20-year deal to carry the franchise’s broadcasts and develop programming around the team.

Uniting Hollywood and baseball once again, it was revealed on Thursday that singer Robin Thicke will perform at the opening weekend extravaganza for the Dodgers on April 5, in the second game of a three-game series against the San Francisco Giants.
Before playing in their home stadium, the Dodgers are first heading Down Under to play in the MLB Opening Series in Sydney, Australia, on March 22 and 23. The game against the Arizona Diamondbacks will be held at the historic Sydney Cricket Ground, which will be fully renovated to a baseball configuration.
