Former Two and a Half Men star Angus T. Jones has bashed his work on the CBS sitcom again.
It’s been a little over a year since a video surfaced in which he called the sitcom “filth” and asked people to stop watching it. Since then, Jones’ role on the show has been downgraded to that of a recurring character, but he hasn’t appeared in any episodes this season.
Now, he’s focusing on going to school in Colorado and rediscovering his Christian faith, which he says made his role on the show problematic.

“It was difficult for me to be on the show and be part of something that was making light of topics in our world where there are really problems for a lot of people,” Jones said in an interview with Houston CBS affiliate KHOU. “I was a paid hypocrite because I wasn’t OK with it and I was still doing it.”
Saturday Jones spoke to parishioners at the World Harvest Outreach Church in Houston, telling them how he found God. The actor has become a close follower of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church and has been visiting different churches and ministries around the country when he’s not spending time in Texas.
Even though Jones’ exit from the show has allowed him to focus on his faith, he told KHOU that he feels bad for openly criticizing the show and creator Chuck Lorre.

“That’s his, like, baby, and I just totally insulted his baby and to that degree I am apologetic, but otherwise I don’t regret saying what I said,” Jones told the station.
World Harvest Outreach Church pastor Dr. James R. Doggette Sr. said of Jones, “He really considers his relationship with God and what he’s putting out in the atmosphere to be a lot more important than his reputation in Hollywood. Angus, I’m not sure really cares a whole lot about being an actor or being well known in that regard.”
Jones said he’s put acting on the back burner, but he might be interested in starring in Christian-themed content.
“There’s a few different productions that like do kind of Bible-based stories. Stuff like that,” Jones told the station.
