California State Capitol No Stranger to Incidents Like that at Capitol HillSACRAMENTO-

Dozens of protestors stood at the state capitol Saturday to raise awareness for what they’re calling a violation of human rights in Venezuela.

Student protestors in Venezuela took to the streets on February 12th. They’ve been engaged in the anti-government protest ever since.

The protestors are seeking food, medical supplies, and other basic human necessities.

Alexandria Bravo, with Venezuelans in Sacramento, said the current government in Venezuela is oppressive, and rules it’s people with violence, intimidation, even death.

“They are getting shot. So far, as of today, 40 people have been killed by the government,” said Bravo.

The group showed videos of the violent protests in Venezuela, and passed out flyers on the steps of the capitol.
