Jason Brickman, the starting point guard for the Long Island University Blackbirds, netted his 1,000th career assist this weekend.
The Filipino American is only the fourth player from an NCAA Division 1 school to achieve that mark, reports Rappler.
The others are Bobby Hurley of Duke who ended his college playing career with 1,076. Chris Corchiani of North Carolina State had 1,038 and Ed Cota of North Carolina is third with 1,030.
Brickman reached his milestone on his last game of his collegiate career.
He is a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award, an honor which goes to the best collegiate point guard of the year.
