NBC Entertainment is promoting two executives in its reality ranks. The network announced Thursday that both Brandon Riegg and Enrique Guillen have been upped to senior vp in the alternative programming department.
Riegg has been with NBC since 2010, when he was appointed vice president, while Guillen has been with the company for 10 years. The duo will report directly to NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios executive vp alternative programming Meredith Ahr.
ANALYSIS: What’s Behind the Broadcast Reality Exec Purge?
Hollywood Game Night, which is hitting new ratings highs in its second season, is one of Riegg’s biggest successes since joining the network. An alum of The Hollywood Reporter‘s 2011 Next Gen class, he developed the Universal Media Studios-produced series and has also overseen The Biggest Loser, America’s Got Talent and American Ninja Warrior. He will now be responsible for alternative’s current slate and continue to contribute to the development of new shows.
Guillen, who has served as vp alternative since his 2009 move from Telemundo, has overseen The Celebrity Apprentice and Last Comic Standing. He will focus on development of new projects with digital interactivity, advertiser innovation and cross-company collaborations in his new role.
The peacock’s reality arm, topped by alternative and late-night programming president Paul Telegdy, has been the most stable of the Big Four in recent years — thanks in no small part to the ongoing success of The Voice.
