Kanye West will return to Bonnaroo six years after a disastrous performance at the Tennessee festival. The full Roo lineup was unveiled through a broadcasted announcement Wednesday night (Feb. 19): Elton John, Jack White, Lionel Richie and Vampire Weekend are among the big names set to rock Manchester, Tenn., from June 12 to 15.
In 2008, West was booed mercilessly at Bonnaroo after showing up hours late to his set at nearly 4:30 a.m., later blaming a late-running Pearl Jam and the amount of time it took to set up his stage show. Yeezy’s upcoming Bonnaroo return marks his first announced festival performance of 2014; he spent much of the past year promoting his latest album, Yeezus, with a headlining tour.

Elton John, who in September released a new album, The Diving Board, will head down to Tennessee, while White will perform at Bonnaroo for the first time since the White Stripes played the festival in 2007. Richie stopped by Bonnaroo as a surprise guest during Kenny Rogers‘ 2012 set.
Other notable artists headed to the largest camping event in North America this year include Frank Ocean, Lauryn Hill, Phoenix, the Flaming Lips, Damon Albarn, Ice Cube, Cake and Mastodon. As always, Bonnaroo will host multiple “Superjam” sessions, in which artists are cobbled together to improvise in oft-spectacular ways; this year boasts another bluegrass Superjam with Ed Helm, a Superjam with “Skrillex & Friends” and a mystery Superjam.

Bonnaroo tickets go on sale this Saturday (Feb. 22) at noon through the official festival website. Last year’s lineup was topped by Paul McCartney, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers and Mumford & Sons, the latter of whom had to bow out due to an injury to bassist Ted Dwane; Jack Johnson hopped in as a replacement headliner.
