Aw crap. Friend had his kindle die after warranty period and was told that he can't do anything. This sucks. And I'm not sure I'll get replacement parts in jagdish market like areas

Wow. I have not heard many stories of Kindle dying. A cousin has one and he is extremely happy with his 2 generation old model that he got from the USA. But yeah, without an actual repair center, the device might become a paperweight after developing a major issue.
