SACRAMENTO-

Fans attending a draft lottery viewing party at K Bar in downtown Sacramento Tuesday night let out a collective moan when they learned the Kings received the 8th pick in the draft.

Kings owner, Vivek Ranadive was in attendance, and was visibly displeased that the Kings did not get a higher pick in the lottery.  But any disappointment was quickly overshadowed by the City Council vote later that night approving plans for a downtown arena.

“The new arena, the new ownership, it’s all going the right direction,” said Kings guard, Isaiah Thomas, also in attendance at the draft lottery party.
