Alcatel Onetouch outs a 2.8in mini smartphone for fitness fans
There's a joke about size and how you use it here, but we're more mature than that
Alcatel Onetouch has revealed a whole host of devices just before Mobile World Congress kicks off in Barcelona, but its most interesting smartphone is probably the tiniest one in the entire show.
The Alcatel Onetouch Pop Fit is a miniature 2.8in smartphone weighing in at a feather-light 78g, and it’ll arrive in a smattering of eye searing colours.
The Pop Fit comes in 16GB and 32GB models which should meet the demands of all but the greediest of music fans, so you’ll have plenty of tracks available to spur you on after you’ve hit your fifth runner’s wall. Though at that point, we’d heavily recommend calling an ambulance if we were you.
Those looking for raw power however will want to look elsewhere, as the Alcatel Onetouch Pop Fit is only packing in a dual-core 1GHz processor, 2MP camera and 1000mAh battery.
Of course, the Pop Fit isn’t meant to be for gadgeteers craving top performance. It’s for people who want to burn calories without lugging around a huge slab of screen, and it comes with JBL in-ear headphones and a transparent flip cover which sweetens the deal.
Alcatel Onetouch also announced its new Pop S series which ranges from the 4in Pop S3 to the 5.9in full HD Pop S9 which has a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 4G, 8MP camera and generous 3400mAh battery.
It also comes with a Sidekick Bluetooth handset which alleviates the problem of looking like a fool when making a call on a miniature tablet.
There’s no price or release date for either device at the moment, but we’ll update this story when we get them through.
