MIPCOM continues to stoke up the star power, with Andie MacDowell and Dylan Neal flying in to Cannes for the international TV confab to present their new Hallmark TV series Cedar Cove to international buyers.
The hourlong drama, a showcase for MacDowell’s first leading role for the small screen, is based on Debbie Macomber‘s best-selling novels. Germany‘s Beta Film is handling international sales for the 14-episode series at MIPCOM.

Beta will also bring in Italian mafia journalist Roberto Saviano to MIPCOM, under his typical heavy security, to present Gomorrah, a crime series from pay-TV channel Sky Italia based on Saviano’s best-selling nonfiction expose of the same name.
Gomorrah was previously been made into an award-winning feature film by director Matteo Garrone in 2008.
Beta is a co-producer, with Sky Italia and Italian shingle Cattleya on the Gomorrah series and is handling worldwide rights.
MIPCOM runs Oct. 7-10 in Cannes.
