TRUCKEE-
A skier at Northstar Ski Resort died Sunday afternoon after crashing into a tree, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
The skier was identified as Marc L. Coleman, 67, of Van Nuys.
Initial reports to the North Tahoe Fire Department and Placer County Sheriff’s deputies were that Northstar’s Ski Patrol was working a traumatic ski accident. Once firefighters arrived, the skier was pronounced dead.
Deputy coroners determined Coleman’s death to be an apparent skiing accident. He was wearing a helmet.
