Trust me, folks, I have a plethora of fancy shoes that would have been great to show off to you for our monthly Shoe Shine shin-dig. But, truth be told, I haven't been wearing those fancy "big-girl" shoes. Why? Because I've been sticking close to home, and there isn't much need for towering wedge platforms (like these for instance) in house. On me at least. I've been wearing out these leopard kicks- sadly not to be replaced, and soon to be retired. So let's enjoy their last days together shall we? Leopard sneaks, paired with thrifted striped cotton socks and a trusty dress by Karina.

I love these shoes. It's sad when shoes get worn out. I just took some in for repairs, original cost of shoe $8, repairs $47!!!? It gave me pause. Now I want to study rudimentary shoe repair so I could do my own basic fixing.

I had a look at your platform shoes. They were hard to see in the tall grass, but I did see you with red hair. Looked great as well. But what is more... I saw you smiling!! You should do that more often as you have a lovely smile.

Oh man, I hate it when a favorite pair of shoes wears out! I've got a pair of mary jane Doc Martin style knockoffs that I have worn the crap out of and recently when I was downtown, the whole sole peeled off one of them. I had to limp to my friends house and borrow a pair of flip flops to get home in.
But I think they can still be fixed...
Leopard really does go with everything.
