TURLOCK-
A dead body found at a rest stop along Highway 99 is being investigated as a suspicious death.
Wednesday night, Stanislaus County emergency crews found a victim at the northbound side rest stop, south of Turlock. They attempted life-saving procedures, but the person died.
There is no cause of death at this time, however investigators do say it is suspicious.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday afternoon. The identity of the body is not being released until family members can be notified.
