Metro Fire had their hands full Saturday after responding to three different Sacramento-area fires.

The first fire was reported around 4 a.m. in Citrus Heights. A closed-down mini mart caught fire on Auburn Boulevard near Sandalwood Drive. The firefighters extinguished the fire and confirmed that nobody was in the building. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The second fire occurred in a mobile home park on Greenback Lane in Orangevale around 5:30 a.m. Crews arrived to find two people outside a trailer that was submerged in flames. Firefighters treated both of the people for burn wounds while stopping the fire from spreading to the nearby trailers. The fire took down the entire trailer, and the owners’ dog died in the fire as well. Both of the burn victims were taken to UC Davis Medical Center for their injuries. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

The final fire of the morning started just before 10am on Eastridge Drive in North Highlands, along I-80. A neighbor called 911 after noticing smoke from the vents of an empty home. Crews were able get into the home and contain the fire to the bathroom. The damages were kept around an estimated $5,000.

The cause of all three fires are still unknown, and no firefighters were injured by any of these fires.
