Scott Brown, the former Massachusetts senator who is currently exploring another bid for Congress, has been axed as a Fox News contributor.
“Scott Brown’s contributor agreement was officially terminated today once he notified Fox News of his intention to form an exploratory committee to run for U.S. Senate in New Hampshire,” Bill Shine, Fox News executive vp programming, said in a statement.

Brown was hired in a contributor role in February 2013, several months after he lost his Massachusetts re-election bid to Democrat Elizabeth Warren. Brown is currently exploring a challenge to Democrat Sen. Jeanne Shaheen in New Hampshire.
Prior to the 2012 presidential election primaries, the network suspended contributors Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich (currently a host on CNN’s revived Crossfire debate show) once they signaled their intention to run for higher office.
