Pentatonix has a new medley on the web — well, kind of.
Three members of the a cappella quintet joined to joke around on four songs from Disney’s Frozen: “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?,” “For the First Time in Forever,” “Love Is an Open Door” and “Let It Go.”
Rather than releasing an a cappella medley, they instead sing along to the karaoke tracks and act out the scenes in front of a white curtain at the Endless Noise studio (made to look like a cozy apartment) — complete with a blonde wig, snow made out of paper cutouts and lots of tossed pillows and blankets.

Seen and heard in the video is the group’s harmonic trio — Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi and Kirstin Maldonado — who sang together in high school before recruiting more members to compete in The Sing-Off‘s third season. The video was recorded by Ryan Parma as part of Hoying and Grassi’s online series, Superfruit, which also recently featured singer Tori Kelly.
Bass Avi Kaplan and beatboxer Kevin Olusola sit this one out, but after seeing how the group as a whole responds to fan requests, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Pentatonix soon arrange a full-fledged a cappella medley of Frozen’s tracks — especially now that the film is headed for Broadway.
