SACRAMENTO-

Police continued their search for evidence Monday just two days after a gunmen fired four shots outside of 102.5’s Fifth Annual Naughty Gras Event at Cal Expo.

The event, which culminated nearly 5,000 people to the venue, brought the likes of 40 Cal Expo police officers to keep attendees safe.

However, Cal Expo CEO Rick Pickering says the shooting didn’t happen inside the venue.

“It occurred outside in the parking lot,” Pickering said. “There’s no way we can screen cars as they come in.”

Pickering told FOX40 he does not believe the gun would have made it through Cal Expo’s metal detectors.

The shots hit two victims, neither of whom were critically injured, according to Cal Expo police. The gunmen has not been identified by investigators.
