ELK GROVE –

Duncan Nakamoto just won $100,000 towards his college education. He found out at his school assembly.

“It’s so cool and awesome,” Duncan said.

His parents entered him in the nationwide Big Dreams Start Small contest launched by the AARP College Saving Solutions from TIAA CREF. Duncan’s parents submitted a photo of Duncan showing his big dreams, and out of a field of 3,000 submissions, Duncan won.

Duncan is only nine, but college is expensive. The time to start saving is now.

Duncan’s classmates were winners as well. Each class got gift bags with books for every student, as well as a $5,000 check for the school.

Duncan does have big dreams, and now $100,000 to keep dreaming big.
