Liberty Ross, the scorned woman at the center of Kristen Stewart‘s controversial affair with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, has broken her silence.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, the British model-turned-actress said that she has “no words to describe what we went through,” but classifies the public ordeal as simply “the worst.”

Ross made headlines in July 2012 when Us Weekly published photos of Stewart and Ross’ husband, Sanders, in compromising positions including kissing and embracing on the side of a Los Angeles road. According to Ross, her husband first informed her of the affair only 20 hours before said photos went public.
“It was horrible,” Ross told VF contributing editor Evgenia Peretz. “It was really the worst, really the worst.”

In the wake of the scandal, Sanders issued a public apology and sought his wife’s forgiveness. Ross, however, realized that the marriage was over. “I think, for me, something always has to completely die for there to be a rebirth. And, for me, I feel like I’m going through a rebirth,” Ross said. “I’ve done everything I could to be the perfect wife and mother and really support my husband. But I just didn’t have any more to give.”
