OROVILLE-
Oroville Police say a woman pepper sprayed an attempted kidnapper who tried to grab her daughter Saturday afternoon.
The woman reported a man reached out at her daughter and demanded she give him the girl along Mitchell Avenue. Police say the woman pepper sprayed the man in self defense, leading him to run off.
Using a photo lineup, police say the woman was able to identify the alleged attacker as 24-year-old Jonathan Burg.
Police tracked Burg down to a motel on Feather River Boulevard, where they arrested him. Burg was booked into jail for attempted kidnapping.
