HERE COMES THE JUDGE: The new Jennifer Lopez album, A.K.A., impacts this week’s charts in a big way, debuting on six different lists. On two of those charts, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top R&B Albums, A.K.A. bows at No. 1. On the former, this is Lopez’ first chart-topping set in over 12 years, since J to the L-O! The Remixes spent one week in first place in February 2002. A.K.A. is the third Lopez album to top this chart — her other CD to achieve pole position was J.Lo in February 2001. A.K.A. is the eighth Lopez album to appear on this chart and all have reached the top 10.
On The Billboard 200, A.K.A. bows at No. 8. It is Lopez’ 11th album to find its way to this survey and the eighth to achieve top 10 status. The other charts that welcome A.K.A. this week are Top Current Albums (No. 8), Top Digital Albums (No. 9) and Top Internet Albums (No. 13).

The second single from A.K.A., “First Love,” also makes chart news, with a No. 87 debut on The Billboard Hot 100. This is Lopez’ 27th song to make the Hot 100. She’s had four No. 1s (“If You Had My Love,” “I’m Real,” “Ain’t It Funny” and “All I Have”). Of her 27 charted entries, 10 have made the top 10, most recently “On the Floor,” which peaked at No. 3 in May 2011.
Elsewhere, “First Love” re-enters Pop Digital Songs at No. 36. On that same chart, another track from A.K.A., “Booty” (featuring Pitbull), is new at No. 50.
MORE ‘MORE’: Last week, this column reported that Colton Dixon‘s new song “More of You” made its first appearance on a Billboard chart by debuting on Christian Airplay. This week, the single rises 44 to 41 on that list and debuts on two other charts. The first single from Dixon’s forthcoming sophomore album, Anchor, “More of You” opens on Christian Hot AC at No. 22 and Hot Christian Songs at No. 44.
