An accident along the Fix 50 construction zone involving a big rig injured three construction workers, and hospitalized one.
At around 11 a.m. a construction worker was carrying a 2o foot 2×4 and it extended too far into traffic, and a semi-truck hit the piece of lumber and spun the worker around causing the 2×4 to hit two other employees.
One worker sustained a head injury and was transported to UC Davis Medical Center.
According to Officer Martin Oliveros, no lanes are affected by this accident, and all lanes remain open.
