VH1 has canceled Best Week Ever for a second time.
The weekly recap series will not return to the cable network, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

“Best Week Ever was a pioneer in pop culture commentary on television when it launched in 2004, delivering its signature blend of comedy and tongue-in-cheek opinions on the most entertaining news and pop culture stories of the previous seven days. The series also served as a national launching pad for many talented creatives and comedians. We thank them, and the viewers who tuned in each week,” VH1 said in a statement.
The fan favorite series was revived in 2012 following a three-year “hiatus” and returned in January 2013 to anchor the network’s Friday comedy block that at the time celebrated pop culture of the past, be it a decade or that past week.
The series originally ran from 2004 to 2009 and built off the success of docuseries I Love the 80s and its follow-up, I Love the 90s. VH1 also announced Wednesday that I Love the 2000s will debut June 17 at 8 p.m. as part of its summer lineup that also includes Hit the Floor, Dating Naked, #CandidlyNicole, LeAnn & Eddie, Make or Break: The Linda Perry Project, Behind the Music: Linda Perry, Philly 4th of July Jam, Atlanta Exes and T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.
The network has recently been expanding its scripted offerings, ordering Hit the Floor for a second season and new entry Hindsight after canceling Single Ladies.
The move to drop Best Week Ever comes a day after VH1 laid off the majority of its New York-based development team.
