HILL COUNTY, Texas (KTVT)-
A luxury home with a lake view, is now a pile of ashes. The home was dangling off the edge of a cliff in central Texas.
Crews intentionally set fire to it Friday morning, to destroy it before the home completely fell into the lake.

Firefighters used flares and gasoline to ignite the home after piercing holes into the walls.
The ground underneath the home started eroding last year, slowing leaving more and more of the home unsupported.
The homeowners ultimately made the decision to burn the home, and are responsible for any associated costs for the demolition and clean-up.
