SACRAMENTO-

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is asking for help in identifying a bank robber that struck at an American River Bank branch on May 2.

The man walked into the Fair Oaks Boulevard bank early Friday afternoon, wearing a “scraggly,” black wig under a baseball cap. Investigators say he demanded money and flashed a handgun in his waistband, and left in a 1980’s Toyota or Datsun pickup truck.

He had been in the bank earlier in the day without the wig and with a different hat.

The robber was described as a white man in his 20’s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall with brown hair and a thin build.

He was wearing a baseball cap, a black t-shirt with “St. Thomas” written in white lettering on the front, black long shorts and tan skateboarding shoes. His red or rust-colored truck reportedly has zebra stripes painted in the sides.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the FBI Sacramento Office at (916) 481-9110.
