AsAmNews has confirmed that Jeremy Lin will guest star on Fresh Off the Boat this coming Tuesday.
On the October 13 episode, Lin will play Chau, a factory worker who gets under Louis’ (Randall Park) skin with his opinions about the popular teen movie Pretty in Pink..
Lin’s appearance comes one week after NBA great Shaquille O’Neil appeared as himself as the owner of a car dealership who had to contend with Jessica’s relentless bargaining tactics.
The guest appearance was first reported by Entertainment Weekly.
Lin has made a name for himself off the basketball court with his humorous and frequent You Tube videos. In them, he often makes fun of himself.

Fresh Off the Boat is the most popular television show among Asian American viewers and Lin’s appearance will only cement that further.
Lin’s star, however, goes well beyond the Asian American community and his appearance could give the already strong ratings for the program an added jolt.
I’m told Lin’s appearance is only a cameo, but it’s a funny one.
Fresh Off the Boat airs Tuesday night’s at 8:30/7:30C on ABC.
As of tonight, ABC had not yet released a synopsis of next week’s episode.
