You could cut the tension with a knife.
Things are ice cold between Dyad Institute colleagues Dr. Leekie (Matt Frewer) and Rachel’s boss, Marion Bowles (Michelle Forbes) on this week’s Orphan Black. In a scene exclusive to The Hollywood Reporter, Leekie breaks the unwelcome news that Ethan Duncan, Rachel’s father, is alive.

“How?” is all Marion can muster, clearly unhappy with the unforeseen development. “I don’t know, but Sarah Manning tracked him down,” Leekie says, adding more salt to the wound.
When Marion asks how Rachel will take the news of her father’s “resurrection,” Leekie admits some hesitation over Rachel’s ability to stay loyal. “She’s taking things personally,” he concludes.

“If Rachel’s become too entangled, we have to step in,” Marian says, hinting that things may not end well for the Proclone should things continue.
Every week, THR will bring in-depth, spoiler-filled chats with the producers and stars on Saturday nights following original episodes. Check back on Saturday at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET for a postmortem interview with Forbes.
Orphan Black airs on Saturdays at 9 p.m. on BBC America.
