Detectives have arrested 2 men in connection with the shooting and murder of a man in Fair Oaks.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff Homicide Detectives, the man was murdered in his own home. Detectives believe 2 men, Deonte Lindel Upchurch, 25, and Matthew Brownwood, 31, were invited inside a home on Tierra Way on Sunday night. The home belonged to an acquaintance of theirs, and they attempted to steal things from the man’s home.

The owner of the home, Wesley J. Camp, 34, confronted the two for trying to steal from him, and they shot him. Wesley Camp died at the scene.
