The last coming attraction for Endless Love, the doomed-relationship feature starring Alex Pettyfer and Gabriella Wilde, was the week’s most watched trailer, according to Zefr, a technology company that tracks YouTube trailer views.
The film, which is a remake of the 1981 Brooke Shields film, opens on Valentine’s Day. (Great trivia fact: The original also was Tom Cruise‘s movie debut.) The movie’s final trailer recorded 3.5 million YouTube views. It was the only new preview to land in this week’s top 10.
In the second spot this week was 22 Jump Street‘s trailer No. 2, which had 2.8 million views, allowing it to jump up from No. 17 the previous week. The sequel starring two-time Academy Award nominee Jonah Hill — just let that sink in: The star of Superbad has two Oscar nominations — and Channing Tatum opens June 13.
No other trailer recorded one million views, making for a very slow week in coming attraction land.
Summer movies dominated the rest of the top 10: X-Men: Days of Future Past at No. 3, How to Train Your Dragon 2 at No. 6, Amazing Spider-Man 2 at No. 7, Godzilla at no. 8 and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes at No. 10.
Spring movies on the chart consisted of 300: Rise of an Empire at No. 4, Noah at No. 5 and The Other Woman at No. 9.
