NEW YORK-
A documentary about Stockton City Councilman Michael Tubbs is in an online competition as part of the Tribeca Film Festival.
Directed by Kevin Gordon, “True Son” follows Tubbs from his campaign in July to his election in November.
Tubbs was only 22 during the shooting of the film, and is election.
Gordon’s film is competing in an online competition with seven other films of a wide range of topics, genres and running times.
“True Son” will be available for viewing Sunday. To watch and vote, a free Tribeca account is required.
