What’s an awards show without a microphone steal? Kanye West at MTV’s Video Music Awards in 2009, Arcade Fire’s Win Butler at the first YouTube Music Awards in November, and now, Cuba Gooding Jr. at Sunday night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The SAG awards weren’t complete — literally — until the Lee Daniels’ The Butler actor borrowed the stage from Ben Affleck during the broadcast’s very last seconds.
As the actor recently cast as Batman was closing the show with his farewell remarks, Gooding ran to the microphone, put his arm around a puzzled Affleck, and shouted a salute to Martin Luther King Jr., whose birthday is celebrated Monday.
“Happy MLK!” he shouted into the microphone, with Affleck echoing the sentiment as the credits began to roll.
