The musical guest for the episode will be The National, also making their first appearance in Studio 8H. Their documentary, Mistaken for Strangers, hits theaters in late March.
As previously reported, The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons and musical guest Beck hit the SNL stage on March 1.
SNL is produced in association with Broadway Video. Lorne Michaels is creator and executive producer.
With Dunham heading to SNL, what are the odds that this Girls parody (with special guest Tina Fey) will be revived?
Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.
