MODESTO-
Those hoping to cool off this summer at splash fountains in Modesto will have to make other plans, the city announced Tuesday they will keep the fountains off.
Citing the ongoing drought conditions, and requests to cut back on water use, the City of Modesto says they are conserving water this summer by keeping the fountains dry.
Those that will be off this summer are located in the following parks; Coffee-Claratina, Creekwood, Freedom, George Rogers, Graceada, Marshall, Sanders, Sylvan, Ustach, and Virginia Corridor.
Also, the city reminds people about water conservation restrictions already in place, including no outdoor watering on Mondays, and limited watering during the rest of the week.
