SACRAMENTO-

For many stores at the Downtown Plaza they have until April 30 to get out, but not everyone is leaving; there will be about 20 stores staying.

The mall will essentially be cut in half. The area closest to the food court, Macy’s and the movie theater will be staying open and the shops near there will continue to operate. The other half of the mall will be demolished in the near future.

These are the stores staying open: 24 Hour Fitness, Forever 21, Getta Clue, GNC, Kings Team Store, Mark’s Hallmark, Macy’s (along with its restaurant, Taste Bar ,River City Brewing Company, Spinners, Starbucks, Zee Jewelers, Brows Shaping Salon, Century Theaters,Charley’s Grilled Subs, Com Photo Plus, Gyro Supreme, Johnny Rockets,Panda Express, Wicked ‘Wich, Yummy Yogurt

The stores closing are offering deep discounts to clear out inventory by this Sunday, when they must vacate the mall.
