SACRAMENTO-
A man is in custody, after weeks of being on the run in Sacramento, accused of killing his wife.
Tanganyika Williams was found with a deadly stab wound along 24th street on July 8.
Her family initially suspected Michael Williams in her death, saying Tanganyika expressed she wanted to leave her husband.
Police later issue a warrant for Williams. FOX40 learned Williams has a violent past.
The search for him gained wide-spread attention after NBA player Matt Barnes mentioned the story on social media, saying Tanganyika was his aunt.
Sacramento police said Tuesday they had Michael Williams in custody, thanks to a tip from a citizen.
He was arrested near Darla Way and Hemingway Drive in Sacramento. More information about his arrest should be released later Tuesday.
